Immich is a self-hosted photo and video management platform designed as a private alternative to Google Photos. It automatically backs up media from mobile devices, organizes content using albums and facial recognition, and provides fast browsing and sharing through a web and mobile interface. It uses efficient server-side indexing and GPU acceleration for quick search and processing.
Immich is accessable via the web https://immich.murray-cloud.com. As well as being availible via (free) mobile phone apps.

This badge, visible on the lower left of the web-interface, means that the owner (me) has paid the $100 USD server lisence fee. I believe in the Immich project and intend to support their efforts through this purchase.
The purchase page is here: https://buy.immich.app/
Immich requires a manaully created user account. Please ask an admin for an account and you will be set-up.
Immich is a photo-backup and mangement service. This means that use of the service will likley consume a fair ammount of data. I reserve the right, should a users use become excessive to restrict total storage space.
However, to-date this has not ever been an issue. I would expect a user would need to exceed 500 GB of space before I would approach for either a donation for expanding my storage pool, or restricting additional storage space.
For reference a mixture of photos and video files would need to be ~250,000 items large to approach 500 GiB.
Photos by default are NOT encrypted on the file server. It is therefore possible for admins of the storage server to view photos. Note: This is also true for Google Photos, and many other cloud photo upload services.
It is not possible for other Immich users (even the Immich admin) to access anyone elses photos through the app, or web interface unless given explicit permission through a shared album for example. An admin would instead need access to the data store directly. Then navigate to the images on disk. In this way certain admins can still be blocked from reading all data at will.
I would be more than happy to show anyone how to install their own self-hosted instance of Immich on their own hardware. This is the only true way to ensure complete privacy.
Please report issues via the Threema chatgroup.
Immich is configured for email updates. You can adjust these (on the web) via Immich -> Settings -> Notifications.
